On the Rock

We came here for dinner and were delighted. The meat empanadas were spectacular and accompanied by a delicious sauce. The provolone was perfectly cooked. The burger was perfectly cooked and very juicy. The pizza was spectacular, unlike any other. The staff was definitely a highlight. We had dinner for four people for €48.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of dining at *On The Rock*, and it was an experience I would definitely repeat. To start, we ordered some Argentine empanadas, both meat and cheese, and I can't overstate how delicious they were: the crispy dough and savory filling made every bite a true pleasure. Afterwards, we opted for a pair of burgers, which were also top-notch. Juicy, well-prepared, and with fresh ingredients that enhanced the flavor. Every detail of the dish reflected the dedication of the kitchen team. The service was another big plus. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring our evening was perfect without being intrusive. It's an ideal place to enjoy good food in a cozy atmosphere. *On The Rock* has definitely gained a satisfied customer. The relaxed atmosphere just a few meters from the sea was sorely lacking in chill-out music.

I've never experienced anything like this in my life, I'm completely in another world! The best restaurant in Peniscola, by far! One of the best restaurants I've ever been to, I'll remember it forever! Not to mention the taste, can we talk about the atmosphere? The service is just perfect, we're treated like royalty, the ambiance is great with excellent music! The staff is just incredible (humor, kind, friendly) - in short, I don't have enough words to describe it! I hope this restaurant goes far and is recognized. I'm totally in love 🙏 A big thank you to the staff who accepted us even though we didn't have a reservation! Thank you again. Go there with your eyes closed, honestly, everything is perfect!

A great find. The terrace is spacious and quiet. We had two burgers for dinner, both of which were very good. Above all, the service was outstanding. Despite being crowded, the service and hospitality were excellent (perhaps an extra person to help out would have been helpful). Highly recommended.

If I could give it six stars, I would. The empanadas are delicious, and the burgers are incredible. But what I would highlight most is the service and friendliness of the waiter—a 10/10!

After walking through the most touristic streets of Peñíscola and seeing that all the restaurants were full we decided to get lost in the alleys, that's how we discovered On the rock. Service 10/10, food 10/10, value for money 10/10, and best of all, the location. Far enough away from the crowd to not be surrounded by noise. By the way, the playlist that was playing is also 10/10.

We ordered a takeout order while we had a beer on the terrace. We had two dogs, and they immediately brought us water for them. The guy was super attentive at all times. They made the order quickly. As for the food, we tried two pizzas, their empanadas, and a Milanese. It's been a while since I've had such a delicious pizza. Spectacular, the empanadas melted in your mouth, so, so delicious.

I went to Peñíscola this weekend and it was recommended to me. The food was delicious. The prices for August were super affordable. The service, a Uruguayan guy, was phenomenal. We'll return when we're in Peñíscola again.

My son and I ate one of the best burgers I can remember, and Damián, the owner, is very attentive and friendly. You're a great Uruguayan. Thank you so much for everything. A place I 100% recommend.

A very cozy place, although not easy to find. You have to go up some stairs to a terrace, and there you will find the restaurant. The food is very good quality. The burgers are tasty and perfectly cooked. The pizzas seem to be from a wood-fired oven. Very good dough, good ingredients. The potatoes on the rock are a must, with homemade sauce and a fried egg. There are options on the menu that are not available, but the restaurant is still worth a visit. Few vegetarian options: I would recommend pizzas with cheese. They should add a plant-based burger.
